Rutherford_Suite_Furnished_Rentals_TorontoIn our next installment of Urban Flats Toronto’s spotlight series, we’re talking to Ross Golden, Flat Deployment and Maintenance. Retired from a successful career as an IT executive, Ross enjoys working with the team to deploy new furnished suites and to ensure all of the properties meet our customers’ expectations. We asked Ross a few questions about his work, his favourite furnished suite and his recommendations for visitors to Toronto.

1. How does Urban Flats Toronto differentiate its furnished rental offering from its competitors?

I believe our biggest differentiation is our responsiveness and willingness to accommodate our guests. This starts from the initial booking call to ensuring everything is shipshape for a guest’s arrival. We make sure every little thing works in the furnished suite they are staying in and that the suite has everything they will need to make the suite their temporary home.

2. What activities do you enjoy the most in your role with Urban Flats Toronto?

I would say that it is the variety of tasks associated with setting up and launching a new furnished unit. There is always a new experience within each unit – a nice surprise or a challenge that presents a learning opportunity.

3. How long does it take to deploy a new furnished suite?

I’d estimate two days – assuming that the team has ordered everything in advance and the deliveries and service providers have been booked. We like to get the furnished suites ready for photography as soon as possible as we know how important it is for our guests to view a prospective property on our website before booking it.

4. Which luxury suite is your favourite at Urban Flats Toronto? Why?

Summit Suite, a penthouse unit, is my favourite 2 bedroom suite as I like its brightness as well as its split layout which is great for two colleagues, friends or a family to spread out in. My favourite 1 bedroom unit is Rutherford Suite, which was named after the street that I grew up on in Toronto, as my daughters know it is my favourite layout. That same layout can also be found in Glee, Epic and Laughter.

5. As a long-term resident of Toronto, what advice would you provide to corporate travellers and visitors to Toronto who are here for their first short term stay?

I would recommend that visitors ensure they stay downtown, enjoy a sports event, see a show in the entertainment district, visit harbourfront and enjoy a meal at some of the many diverse cultural dining experiences found in the city.
