Our guests describe our city center location best when recounting their stays with Urban Flats Toronto at 140 Simcoe. “Take a Toronto map, put your finger on the city center and now the property is under your finger” and “The location is really great, 10 minute walk from everything.”

Whether your work brings you to the Financial District, home to numerous banking, corporate headquarters, insurance, consulting, legal and accounting firms or to the Discovery District, home to the University of Toronto campus and five leading health-care facilities, this property in the city center will make your temporary work place accessible by foot. And your access is available at street-level or on Toronto’s underground PATH walkway, that is lined with retail shops restaurants and other services. The closest access from 140 Simcoe is one block over on University Avenue and the PATH winds along from there with many exit points in the heart of the Financial District.

This location will also let you enjoy the best of Toronto culture and entertainment. We have close proximity to trendy Queen West as well as several venues in the Entertainment District.

The Drake Hotel, Queen West

According to BlogTO – the original Queen West (from University to Spadina) is no longer the hippest address in town. It’s now a retail strip where you’ll find great global brands like Zara, H&M and Lululemon mixed with sneaker shops and long-time indie favorites.  Travel a few blocks further and things get a bit more interesting and eclectic west of Spadina where locals favor spots like Tequila Bookworm, the Cameron House and the Drake Hotel.

Delicious Chocolates from Sweet Olenka’s

Not to be missed are the galleries and rooftop garden at nearby 401 Richmond. We source our handcrafted chocolates from Sweet Olenka’s who have a great offering of sweet treats and locations in Queen West, Kensington Market and in Etobicoke.

Heading in the opposite direction on Queen Street from 140 Simcoe toward the city center, you’ll find Nathan Phillips Square where you can skate like a Canadian in the winter months and enjoy a number of cultural festivals, concerts and other events throughout the year. NPS was home to the victory celebrations for the 2015 Toronto Pan Am Games which have left their imprint with a new vivid TORONTO sign. Travel a few blocks further east on Queen and you will arrive at the Toronto Eaton Centre, with a huge array of shops, clothiers and restaurants in a soaring, historic mall with a glass ceiling.

No matter whether your short-term stay in the city center with Urban Flats Toronto is primarily for business or pleasure, our furnished rental properties in 140 Simcoe offer you a wonderful urban lifestyle.
